Most products out there only address one main problem. If you have acne prone skin, but dry caused by acne medication you've taken, there is a very high chance that you'll react badly to creams that treat dry skin. Oily dry skin creams are just not the best option for acne prone skin. This is how you treat acne and dry skin:

Start by gently washing your face with a soap and oil-free cleanser. When treating dry skin, you can use a cream cleanser, a cold cream, or non-comedogenic oil. Apply your cleanser, massage and then wipe off.

Finish off by using a creamy, facial moisturizer. People with dry skin should use an alcohol and fragrance-free moisturizer that is reapplied as often as necessary.
