Skin Rash Rescue: Tips for Dealing with Extremely Dry Skin

by Grant Ferns

People with dry skin have always known how difficult it is to treat. You're constantly worried about having to keep your skin moisturized, but it could be worse, you could have very dry skin.

Very dry or extremely dry skin is a subtype of dry skin and is characterized by tight and sensitive skin that does not respond to traditional dry skin care products. This type of skin can lead to big problems if it is not treated properly.

However, by following a good skin care routine you can learn to live with very dry skin. This plan should include a skin rash rescue plan that can help you deal with allergic reactions that you may have to different situations and products. Lifestyle changes should be taken as part of your skin rash rescue regimen.

Finding the Right Skin Care Routine for Very Dry Skin

Normal dry skin is usually treated with cream cleansers and creamy moisturizers, however, if you're trying to treat very dry skin you'll probably need to make the switch to oils.

Olive oil is a great cleanser for treating very dry skin. Simply massage a little bit of oil all over your face. Wait a few minutes so that you allow the oil penetrate the skin. Once you've done this, take a warm, moist washcloth and lay it on your skin. The washcloth will cool off and you will be able to remove the excess oil with ease. Finish off by applying your moisturizer.

If your normal moisturizer isn't doing the trick, then you can also use rose hip oil to help moisturize your skin. It absorbs into the skin very quickly and treats dryness almost instantly. Reapply as often as needed to during the day, but make sure to use sunblock if you plan to go outside.

Including a sensitive skin balm in your daily skin routine is a great idea. Search for products that contain aloe vera or licorice root. Both of which are known to help alleviate irritation.

You can also reduce irritation and swelling by changing a few of your daily habits. As a matter of fact, some changes are a fundamental part of treating extremely dry skin. Maintaining bad habits will only counteract the positive effects of your skin care products.

A good starting place is making a few dietary modifications. Eliminate or moderate the intake of beverages such as caffeine, alcohol and carbonated drinks. Each one of these products can lead to dehydration, which will eventually lead to irritation and rashes.

Other lifestyle changes include: changing synthetic fabrics for natural fibers, using a humidifier, and drinking plenty of water. Consistency is the key in this case. None of these suggestions will work if you do not commit to a long term lifestyle change.

BIOSKINBALM is a natural skin care product that contains snail serum, a natural ingredient that is ideal for dry skin care. BIOSKINBALM's natural composition makes it a perfect solution for treating eczema & dermatitis.
